On April 2nd, we launched a video on YouTube. We had made the video on a shoe-string budget with a group of friends, as an acknowledgment of the imbalance between masculine and feminine energy for the last several thousand years.
This video was based on a text, "A Manifesto for Conscious Men," which had been on Facebook for many months already. About 8000 people had visited the page and "liked" it. The response there, from men and women, was almost entirely positive.
We had no way to anticipate the reaction to this movie. Many women have really appreciated the gesture, and some have felt offended. Some men have resonated with the message of the movie. There has also been a outpouring of ridicule and outrage from a lot of men. We have obviously touched a nerve.
In this free tele-seminar, we will respond to the huge variety of comments we have received to this video. Is it appropriate, or even sane, to offer an apology for things you did not do? Has the imbalance between men and women actually been restored through feminism, or do we still have a long way to go? Why did this video generate so much anger, or even attention?
Please join us for a spirited hour of conversation. We will take questions live over the web and by phone.
